Before decorating your face with makeup, give your skin some tender loving care this season. Although the winter months can be a beautiful, it can bring on an array of skin complications. Dry and uncomfortably tight skin and skin tends to loose its radiance are a few of the top ranked challenges in skin care. Many times we forget that we have to change our skin products as the seasons change.
In order to keep your skin looking its best invest in high quality, not necessarily expensive, products that contains a high moisture content and products that increase cell turnover. When skin care shopping look for ingredients that have dimethicone, glycerine, or lactic acid. Dimethicone is a silicone that attracts moisture and traps it under the skin. It's great for keeping skin moisturized underneath makeup. Glycerine is a natural by-product that acts similar to dimethicone; it attracts and holds moisture to the skin. It is found in most facial cleansers. Lactic Acid is found in many moisturizing treatments and anti-aging creams because of its powerful moisturizing properties. Also limiting face washing to twice a day and drinking plenty of water are major factors that will aide in a beautiful pre-makeup face.
